Does putting Toothpaste on a pimple get rid of it?

I have this really nasty pimple above my lip and i wanna get rid of it, I%26#039;ve put some toothpaste on it and its really stinging, does it work?

Xx|||Yea it does... this is what I do:

Ok so fill a bowl with super hot water.

Then put a towel over your head (so the steam doesn%26#039;t escape) and let the steam fill your pores and cleanse for about 3 minutes or so.

After the ick comes out of your pimple (DONT pop it! the steam should do that without causing a scar), put a dab of toothpaste on it for about 15 minutes.

Also, create a facial mask using household materials.

For example I just did one with 1 banana, 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt, and 1 tablespoon of honey. It worked great!

Hope I helped... because that took a lot of time to type. lol :)

PS the first time I put toothpaste on it stung, but the next times it was perfectly normal... er... as normal as putting toothpaste on a pimple can be!|||Well I heard by someone that using toothpaste on skin causes cancer she said it has some chemical that makes the skin have cancer Report Abuse
|||If the toothpaste has baking soda in it, which a lot do. If you%26#039;re going to do that though, I would just take some regular baking soda and mix it with a litte water till it%26#039;s like a paste, then dot it on the zit. It dries out the oil, the same way toothpaste oes, but you don%26#039;t have all the other stuff on there too.|||yes it does, but it can often take a lil longer than an actual medication designed for acne. if you use toothpaste, make sure that you use some type of astringent and that will help dry it out faster, but i would recommend that you go to a dept store like macy%26#039;s or dillards and visit the clinique counter. they have something called acne%26#039;s solutions spot healing gel. it%26#039;s about 13 dollars, but it%26#039;s well worth it!!!|||Not all the time. I heard it does for some people though because what it does is that it actually dries the pimple up (kind of like how toothpaste dries up when not in the tube), and when you wash your face, the debris in your pimple goes with the toothpaste. It doesn%26#039;t hurt to try...

Hope this helped at least a widget =]|||I have heard that cure for years and it never worked, but I don%26#039;t think it will hurt! The best thing I have seen is the %26quot;proactive- mask%26quot;- you use a dot of it, it is made of sulfur and it does dry it up in a few days but not overnight the way they say on tv.|||My daughter tried that and said it did not work for her. I think it depends on skin type. Milk of Mag is supposed to help, also, for some people (applied topically). She saw a tiny difference but not enough to keep using it.|||i don%26#039;t think so! i mean to me it seems like the toothpaste would make it %26quot;dirtier%26quot;.

just for later on.....

if you are using something for your skin and it irritates your skin don%26#039;t use it or reduce the use of it!|||It%26#039;s supposed to help take out the redness.|||hahahaha no not at all.|||Doesn%26#039;t work. Trust me.

I%26#039;ve tried it on my whole face, it didn%26#039;t really do anything.|||it will get rid of it but in the end you will have a burn mark. |||Yes, I am 85% sure that is true.|||wash your face with green tea you will see, don%26#039;t dry no soup tell everyone ..|||well it doesnt work all of the way but it will soothe and flatten it out a bit so you dont have a lumpity blob|||No, but it does make it minty fresh!|||hmm, not sure, but i know if u suck the oil out u can get rid of it. thats y all these acne treatments are like dry ur skin|||i really dont know but, i tryed i and it never worked.
