Is it safe to pop a ripe pimple?

I think it is safe, especially if it is ready to blow on its own. I%26#039;d rather squeeze it, and get rid of it, instead of it busting on its own by accident. Like one of those huge ones you get on your back or shoulder.|||Yes, its fine to pop a pimple if it has a head on it. But don%26#039;t keep squeezing it after you%26#039;ve popped it!|||When you do that, be aware that it CAN cause scars. But don%26#039;t squeeze all the way till it bleeds, then it%26#039;s going to leave a scar.|||Can also cause infection, and it can make the pimple worse. Scarring can be bad too.|||You should take a warm washcloth and place it on the pimple and press down, if that doesn%26#039;t work, use 2 Q-tips to gently squeeze. NEVER use fingernails, it will cause scarring!
