Are you supposed to put a hot rag on an emflamed pimple or a cold one?

Which would bring down swelling, a (maybe?) reduce redness?|||hot to open up the pore and draw out the impurities then cold to close it and bring down swelling and reduce redness.

i do that all the time.

good luck!|||Cold. If you want to reduce swelling, ice the pimple for a few minutes to reduce swelling. Heat will cause it to get red, puffy, and more inflamed. It%26#039;s a big no no. Heat is great for BEFORE you get pimples. When you have blackheads or whiteheads, putting a steamy washcloth or giving yourself a steam facial helps in those cases. But once it%26#039;s a full blown pimple, cold is the best way to reduce redness and swelling.

Another tip. Use eye drops to reduce redness. Just dab some eye drops onto a Q-Tip, and apply it to the pimple. It%26#039;ll help reduce redness. It gets the redness out of your eyes, but it also get the redness out of your skin as well. Just a little tip I%26#039;ve learned!|||Hot, to open it up. When it%26#039;s open put acne medication on it so it will go deep into the infalamation and dry it out.|||hot, to kill the bacteria feeding on your excess sebum. :D|||HOT, IT NEEDS TO BE DRAWN OUT SO IT CAN GO AWAY|||press a hot rag on it, and then just dab toothpaste on it.
