What's the difference in appearance between a pimple and herpes?

Please help. i think i just have a pimple but im not sure...|||Herpes itches and burns. Eventually the sore will %26quot;weep%26quot; and be very painful.





edit: Those are the symptoms for an inital outbreak. Later outbreaks are less likily to cause discomfort.|||some times they can look similar, but herpes comes with totally different symptoms then acne. also herpes and acne are not related.


if u have burning, tingeling, itchy chapped skin where the pimple is then u may have herpes.


also it depends on where the pimple is. if its away from areas like the mouth, genitals, eyes, nose, then it may not be herpes. it is rare to have herpes away from those areas. if your really worried get the pimpely thing looked at by a doctor or dermatologist.|||the first timei got herpes was 5 years ago with one guy only!! I remembe he had a small red pimple on his penis. It wasnt gross or anything and it didnt hurt him. I didnt realize it was herpes. He lied to me as well and i ended up catching it four months later. I do believe its herpes. Sometimes the herpes lesions on guys are blisterlike and open and scab up. Other times if its recurrent, its like alittle red pimple. Pimples go away and do not hurt or you get them from shaving or can pop them and they go away. But the pimple from herpes sits there for a few days and it jsut doesnt go away. It takes about 2-3 days to clear up. Sometimes its painful and itcy. But his wasnt and it was herpes.|||A pimple usually makes a white pus filled head. A herpes sore usually is a clear fluid filled blister sort of sore. A pimple is usually a single sore and herpes sores usually rise in a cluster.
