My 9 month old puppy has a white pimple or blister on the outside of his mouth (gums). What could it be?
He plays a lot with his girlfriend (platonic!) and chews on many things like rawhides, sticks, toys, etc. I%26#039;ve never seen something like this before and just want to know if it could be something serious or if time will just take care of it.|||It%26#039;s probably canine papilloma virus or dog warts. They pass in a few months. It is even possible that he simply had a slight injury that will heal quicker.|||%26quot;Puppy zits%26quot;. My 14 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback is just getting over them, but she had gotten them very very bad, they broke open, bled and became infected. Her chin was the worst but she also got them on her lips. She is on 21 days of Keflex antibiotic and it is working. Most cases are not this extreme and do not need treatment.|||its is on the outside of his mouth. my puppy gets them all the time from plastic, i give him plastic bottles to chew on.its probably a pimple. I wouldnt feed him out of a plastic bowl my puppy get pimples from them, too. its probably nothing to worry about, if it seems to get bigger i would take him to the vet!
