What to use on an ingrown pimple?

I have this pimple right in the center area of my neck, the pimple hasnt risen for about the half a year ive had it, i had gotten one like that on my stomach before and got a sewing needle and poked a hole on it to get it out but im definately not doing that to my neck!, is there any medicine for that, does regular pimple medicine bring it to the top orrr?|||if it is just a pimple, you can bring it to a head by putting simple toothpaste on it before you go to bed at night... that usually does it... however if it is a cyst or boil, you will want to watch it cause they grow under the skin and can become infected very easily... and often require medical intervention to get rid of..|||Are you sure its a pimple?...hmmm i dont think zits last that long..go to the doc,and have them check it out,it could be something else.|||i was gonna say use some isopropyl on it.. but then u said its a boil.. and now i dont know what to do. sorry lol
